The company

Prostage® was founded in 2001 by me, Lukas Truninger. I grew up in Switzerland and was already surrounded by technics and music as a child. After completing my apprenticeship as a mechanic, I studied audio engineer at the SAE Institute.

As a teenager I was increasingly interested in audio electronics and tuned tube amps. I worked as a guitar technician / backliner for various known groups (such as Krokus, Udo Jürgens,...); later I accompanied also several tours as a sound engineer and tour manager. The experience gained is now stuck in many construction details of the devices.

2008 I emigrated to the EU, specifically to Spain. Here, the Prostage products are developed and built.

The StageWire technology

StageWire is an interconnecting system which was developed by Prostage especially for use on stage. All you need is 1 standard microphone cable from device to device, and the devices can communicate with each other in both directions. Our philosophy - control without limits

The Prostage equipment is designed for daily, tough handling on tour. Thus, for example, the connection between the Foot Controllers and the guitar rigs uses exclusively microphone cables. The connectors on the Foot Controllers are positioned in a way that prevent damaging of the plugs by treading.
At the front of the stage, just remote controls (Foot Controllers & Expression Pedals) are used. Thanks to the XDS loop system for stompboxes and the remote wah, the guitar signal is completely processed in the rear rack. This increases the audio quality (short cables), user friendliness, robustness and reliability.
