XB1 - Buffer Pedal | Boost Pedal | Gitarren Kabel Treiber | Impedanz Anpassung
Ich verwende den Prostage Booster, um zusätzliches Gain und 'oomph' zu bekommen, wenn ich von Rhythmus auf Lead umschalte. Ich liebe die Tatsache, dass der Booster absolut klangneutral ist. Das ist genau das, was ich von einem Booster will. 
Der Prostage Buffer / Booster ist ein praktischer Problemlöser bei der Verkabelung von Gitarren Racks. Er kann für verschiedene Funktionen eingesetzt werden, z.B:
- Als Gitarren Line Driver | Buffer Pedal, also als erstes Gerät im Signalweg zum Kompensieren der Soundverluste durch lange Gitarrenkabel.
- Zur Impedanz Anpassung, in einem einzelnen Loop für ein Effektgerät mit inkompatibler Eingangsimpedanz *.
- In einem Loop vom XDS | XLS als einfaches Solo Boost Pedal.
Der Booster hat keinen Ein/Aus Schalter.
* Impedanz:
Die Eingangsimpedanz bei Gitarrenverstärkern liegt in der Regel bei 1Mega Ohm. Bei Effektgeräten ist diese meistens viel niedriger. Da Geräte verschiedener Hersteller oft unterschiedliche Impedanzen aufweisen, kann das zu folgendem Problem führen:
Wenn nur der eine oder andere Effekt eingeschaltet ist, ist alles OK. Wenn nun aber mehrere Effekte in einer bestimmten Reihenfolge eingeschaltet sind, wird das Gitarrensignal plötzlich leiser und verliert an Transparenz, obwohl jeder einzelne Effekt korrekt eingestellt ist. Dieses Problem liegt in der inkompatiblen Impedanz. Der Prostage Booster | Impedance Matcher schafft hier Abhilfe.

I'm using the XB-1 as the first link in the chain before my preamp in my rack switcher pass through. I'm using a rjm rack gizmo to control the loops and switching of my rack. I never knew that my signal was not as clean/brilliant until I placed the XB-1 in the pass through from the front.
My signal is now substantially cleaner and more brilliant. It's as though the signal is stronger and more present. I'm also using a particularly old piece of analog gear (stereo tapped delay) that has always had a certain amount of grit in it's signal that I just came to accept. Well, the grit is now gone and I can only attribute this to the XB-1.
One more point: I'm not using the XB-1 as a booster. I'm just using it as a line leveler/impedance matcher. The boost function is pretty cool but I'm already using another preamp boost in this rack.
I'll be purchasing an XB-1 to work the same magic on my other rack as well.
