Remote Volume (VCA) - MIDI volume pedal
Since I wanted to have the complete signal processing in the rack and because I play wireless, a normal volume pedal for volume control was out of the question. This would have meant to carry out a long cable from the rack to the volume pedal and back again. I did not want to do this with my signal. So I searched the net. The MVC was available only used at that time, and the Prostage Remote Volume definitely had the better prospects because of its features. This little box is simply worth the money and essential facilitated my daily work on stage. 
The Prostage Remote Volume is a MIDI volume pedal which let's you control the volume of your guitar remotely with an expression pedal. The effects unit is installed inside the guitar rack. Sound and dynamic losses caused by long guitar cable to the front of the stage and back are omitted.
The Remote Volume is designed using a 100% analog audio circuit. Thus, the guitar signal does not have to pass AD/DA converters and retains its natural dynamics.
The volume is controlled via MIDI. Presets for different types of volume control can be stored, eg:
- Normal volume pedal: mute to normal volume (unity gain)
- Slight level reduction to soften the distortion
- Solo boost from normal volume up to + 31dB
By default, the Remote Volume works as a regular volume pedal. To create your own presets, you will either need a software sequencer with MIDI interface or the Prostage XTMpro adapter (or XDS | XLS).
The free Prostage System Manager software for XTMpro | XDS | XLS provides a clearly arranged window for the configuration of the Remote Volume pedal. MIDI knowledge is not required.
If you like to program the Remote Volume with a software sequencer / MIDI interface, MIDI knowledge (sysex) is required.

Meine Kabellänge zur Volumesteuerung hat sich von 2 mal 8 Meter auf 2 mal 15cm verkürzt.Sound wie direkt in den Amp.

Das Volume Pedal macht genau das was man erwartet und dazu noch einiges mehr. Z.B. kann man es auch als Booster benutzen. Mit der Software kann man schnell und einfach alles so programmieren wie man es möchte. Auf einigen Sounds habe ich mir ein Volume von 0% - 100% programmiert, auf anderen nur 50% - 100% (was ich je nach Sound sehr praktisch finde, da man sehr genau regeln kann).
Wie man es von Prostage kennt, ist auch das Volume Pedal sehr robust gebaut.
Einziger minus Punkt ist, dass es keine Stereo Ausführung gibt. Für mich nicht so ein Problem, da ich live sowieso Mono spiele und im Studio mache ich die Stereo Effekte meistens nachträglich. Und wenn jemand unbedingt Stereo will, kauft er halt noch ein Zweites :)

Da ich die komplette Signalverarbeitung im Rack haben wollte und drahtlos spiele, war ein normales Volume Pedal für die Lautstärkesteuerung nicht sinnvoll. Das hätte ja bedeutet nach dem Sender ein langes Kabel raus aus dem Rack zum VolumePedal zu führen und wieder zurück. Das wollte ich meinem Signal nicht antun. Also habe ich im Netz gesucht. Das MVC gab es zu diesem Zeitpunkt nur noch gebraucht, und das Prostage Remote Volume hatte wegen seiner Features definitiv die besseren Karten. Diese kleine Kiste ist ihr Geld einfach wert und hat mir meinen Bühnenalltag wirklich wesentlich erleichtert.

Volume control Moog Source
Wanted to control my Moog Source’s volume and filter by my Moog Theremini ala Mezerg. The Theremini has one CV output and a USB output for Midid CC#’s. Modified the Source adding a CV input to control the filter, but had no way to control the volume until I found the Remote VCA. What a perfect piece of kit to do the job! Sent USB midi CC#’s to a Kenton USB Midi Host to convert it to DIN midi then onto the Remote VCA. Voila! Volume and filter control of an older synthesizer achieved! Thank you Lukas!
