Prostage develops and manufactures professional, programmable MIDI foot controllers with StageWire Technology. StageWire is a stage proof MIDI connection which enables several devices, such as foot controllers, switchers and loopers, to communicate with each other in both directions (bi-directional) with only one standard microphone cable from device to device. Furthermore, the MIDI foot controllers are powered over the microphone cable (phantom power).

The StageWire technology developed by Prostage is the most advanced solution in the field of MIDI Foot Controller as well as Loop & Switch Systems. The Foot Controllers are designed extremely sturdily made of 1,5mm sheet steel. The connectors are positioned in a way that prevent damaging of the plugs by treading. All Prostage Foot Controllers have a connector to connect two Expression Pedals.

Depending on the Model and Operating Mode, the MIDI foot controllers sends Program Changes and/or Button on/off messages (instant access; also called "stompbox mode").
